My Shahada
Welcome

Shahada is the Arabic word for 'Testimony' (tes-tuh-moh-nee).

'Testimony' has several meanings, such as:
     1. Statement or declaration of a witness under oath in the courts.
     2. Evidence in support of a fact or assertion; proof.
     3. A public declaration of one's faith or belief in God.

In Islam the Shahada is also one of the five pillars of Islam, which every Muslim must confess in Arabic: "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of God." In most Muslim countries, changing one's religion is socially dangerous and illegal. Though many Muslims have chosen to be followers of Jesus in the last few years, more than any period of time before in history, most Muslims reject this, saying it is impossible. Many think religion is inherited from one's parents, but true faith comes from a personal relationship with God.  We invite you to read testimonies from people who found the key to an abundant life, not because they changed their official religion, but because of their personal relationship with God through the prophet Jesus.

We testify that the Prophet Jesus was born of a virgin, and came to this world in human form, worked miracles and spoke the Word of God.  He was crucified and died to fulfill God's plan for dealing with the evil of our world, and was buried in his grave for three days, then rose again to heaven, where he is today.  He is still alive, and we testify that he loved us and earned salvation for us and has the ability to change people's lives.   We testify that the only way to ensure eternal life with God is to believe what Jesus said, accept his forgiveness, and walk according to his teachings. Here you will find proof and evidence, stories, studies and teachings that these things are true.

Here in My Shahada, you will find stories of Christ's followers who have changed their lives because of their relationship with God. We want you to share your story, ask questions and find answers. You will find Bible studies and other reading materials, as well as links to other sites. Of course, if you want to get personal attention on an issue of spirituality, please contact us.

Peace be upon you.
